Still Loving You, de Scorpions

  Una de las baladas heavy más conocidas es la que traemos este sábado en nuestra sección semanal de videoclips sobre el amor.

 

  Corría el año 1984 cuando la banda alemana Scorpions publicaba su álbum "Love at First Sting" (amor al primer aguijonazo, más o menos), que llegó a tripe disco de platino en EEUU.

  De dicho L.P. se extrajo la hermosa canción de amor que hoy os traemos: Still Loving You (te sigo amando), una clásica balada de rock duro, aunque quizá es clásica porque marcó el estilo.

 

La música de una balada heavy

  Comienza con un arpegio de guitarra eléctrica, como debe ser, y enseguida entra la voz. El tema va ganando intensidad hasta que, a los 2 minutos, entra la batería, el bajo y la guitarra distorsionada, y se descubre que no se trata de un acaramelado grupo pop, sino un dulcificado grupo de rock duro.

 

  Baja de nuevo la intensidad, vuelve una estrofa tranquila, entra un bonito punteo de guitarra solista (no hay de otro tipo), y vuelve la fuerza y el rock hasta el final de la canción. No apta para baterías incontenibles.

  También es interesante la versión grabada junto a la Orquesta Sinfónica de Berlín, de mayor duración (8:28):

  Repasa los códigos básicos de casi toda canción de amor: estaré allí, lucharé por tu amor, cambiaré, confía en mí, me arrepiento, dame una oportunidad, etc.

  Me quiero detener en la siguiente frase, que me recuerda la idea central de otro temazo que hemos traído a nuestro blog: Love is Stronger than Pride, de Sade:

  En definitiva, una canción que demuestra que los heavies también tienen corazoncito, y les afecta esto del desamor como a cualquier otro mortal, aunque no lleve chupa de cuero negro con chinchetas.
